Good localization considers where each piece of text appears, how people interact with it, and what they need to do next. My experience includes mobile interface strings and digital content, alongside broader English-to-Bengali translation.
Content for digital experiences
- App menus, buttons, notifications, onboarding, and help text.
- Website pages, product descriptions, support articles, and landing-page copy.
- UI string review, terminology consistency, and context-based linguistic QA.
- Updates using existing translation memories, glossaries, and style guidance.
Context makes the difference
Screenshots, character limits, variables, string descriptions, and a clear understanding of the user help avoid ambiguous translations. Placeholders and formatting instructions are handled according to the project brief.
Tools that support consistency
I work with CAT and localization workflows using tools such as Trados Studio, memoQ, Wordfast, XTM, and Phrase. Tool access, project packages, and delivery formats can be agreed before work begins.
Review in the interface
Where access is provided, a linguistic review of the implemented screens can identify truncation, context problems, and inconsistent language. Functional testing and software development are separate scopes.
